With raw, abstract yet subtle shapes and forms, Anette Hallbäcks artworks are influenced by impressions of environments and surroundings of Scandinavian nature and the Kattegatt sea. Travels, both Nordic and far away, further influences the artworks as she collects impressions from nature as well as from cultural objects. Impressions of the ocean and the patterns it leaves behind on the beach, the structure and surface of stones polished over time by the Nordic climate, reeds and forests have all influenced the artworks. Buildings, architectural structures and sculptures further influences Anette as she seeks to mimic and interpret the patterns.
Exhibited below is a selection of available artworks crafted by hand in her studio outside of Gothenburg.
